Civic Helpers Accomplishments

Getting things done is what we are all about

Our Goals

Beyond our general mission statement, we aim to solve problems involving government (or government-regulated entities) both for the New Yorkers who come to us, and those facing the same issue, so that the problem doesn’t just keep repeating.

At Civic Helpers, we believe that the measure of any organization, especially a charitable organization, is producing real successes.

Even in our first year of operations, we didn’t wait for our 501(c)(3) status and tax exemptions; we hit the ground running. We have helped individuals and organizations (many of them fellow non-profits). And one of the great things about the work we do is that, in addition to helping people directly, through solving the problems they share with us, we help people who are affected by the same or similar problems, even if they’ve never heard of Civic Helpers.

Our Achievements

While not everything we do can be quantified, we’re happy to track what we can and share it with you.

Testimonials for Civic Helpers

See how seeking a solution to one problem can empower a broader community.

Our nonprofit child care center hadn’t received a $30,000 state grant we were owed. We got nowhere with government officials over many months, so I reached out to Civic Helpers. A few days later, they hit on the state IT snafu that had stopped processing of the grant payment. Our families and community benefitted, and hopefully so too did the state agency that learned that this mistake could impact nonprofits all around New York.

Civic Helpers rescuing $475,000 of state funding for health services is a lifeline for LGBT+ organizations around New York. We can't thank them enough.
